Once again we teamed up with the local IKA Branch, hosting a fundraiser in aid of Irish Kidney Association. This bundle raised a further €2,450 for the IKA. Pictured here with Ray Halligan, Chairperson of the Waterford IKA Branch, and Vera Frisby, Branch Treasurer.
“The Irish Kidney Association was founded in 1978 by a group of dialysis patients so that patients in renal failure could have a representative organization to help dialysis and transplants patients. Our main fundraising event, Organ Donor Awareness week, takes place in late March each year. It gives us an opportunity to express the need for organ donors as each year over 600 patients are waiting for organ transplant in Ireland. This year Covid severely curtailed our fundraising capability. Blaa Giveaways kindly donated 2,650 euro to our cause locally. These funds were badly needed, many thanks to all at Blaa Giveaways”
– Ray Halligan, Chairperson IKA Branch.

Our May Fundraiser for the The Helping Hand raised over €2,000! Pictured here Jenna & Paul of Blaa Giveaways with Eamonn Morrissey, Vice Chairperson.
“Helping Hand look after the homeless and vulnerable . We provide tents, sleeping bags, ground sheets, a hot meal etc but most importantly a safe warm place for people to go who will be treated with dignity and respect. We have over 40 volunteers who dedicate their time to truly making a difference. We recently got our own premises and it had taken quite a lot of our funding to make it into a lovely space for our service users. When Paul and Jenna contacted us, we were delighted. We were already thinking ahead to the winter and the life saving supplies we would need. The recent fundraiser will help enormously with this. Thanks to everyone at Blaa giveaways for raising 2050 euro for us. We really appreciate it.”

“We are a registered charity and most of our funding comes from donations by the public. It’s always at the back of our minds if we will have enough money to keep the Sanctuary going. But we keep chipping away. So when Paul of Blaa Giveaways told us that the company would do a monthly fundraiser for us, it really gave me some peace of mind. With their help, we have been able to keep on going, plus do a few repairs and improvements that are really needed. Thank you Paul, Jenna and everyone at Blaa Giveaways!”

In January 2021 we first got in touch with the Deise Animal Sanctuary. The Deise Animal Sanctuary is an Irish Charity dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill pounds and owners who can no longer care for their pets. With over 40 dogs in their care at any one time, they rely heavily on the generosity of the public to fund and continue their work.
On this Fundraiser we were able to raise €2,500 for the Sanctuary!
